WGS Engraving manufactures custom interior signage that conform to the current standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act. These signs are produced following WGS Engraving's meticulous standards for fit and finish by craftsmen with years of experience in the industry. 

​​Each sign includes raised tactile lettering and associated Braille, which can be made up of alphabetic and numerical characters. The text is usually room numbers or permanent office space names.

Sign Construction
Our signs are made up of several components. Please use the diagram as visual reference.
  • The backplate is the part of the sign that attaches to the wall using either standoffs with drywall anchors or double-sided tape.  
  • Signs without inserts include a frontplate that holds the tactile lettering and Braille and the background color.
  • Signs with inserts include a laminate that is attached to the frontplate. The tactile lettering and Braille are positioned on the top laminate. Both the top and bottom laminates are fabricated with your choice of colors.​
Note: This breakdown represents the construction of a typical ADA sign. Final product can be customized to conform to a client's specifications.
